{"id":87,"count":15,"description":"Hands Off Our Hills<\/strong><\/a>, a group comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds and unaffiliated with any political party, relies on donations and public events to fund its activities.\r\n\r\nEvery contribution received is dedicated to raising awareness and supporting campaigns against the proposed wind farms in the vicinity of Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire, Dumfries, and Galloway.\r\n\r\nThe proposed wind farms include Blair Hill Wind Farm<\/a>, featuring 22 turbines at a height of 820 feet, Glenvernoch Wind Farm<\/a> with 18 turbines reaching 656 feet, and Balunton Wind Farm<\/a> hosting 7 turbines also at 656 feet.\r\n\r\nBlair Hill Wind Farm<\/strong><\/a> is planned to be situated 2.5km northeast of Newton Stewart and is being developed by RES Group, a global renewable energy company with a history spanning over 40 years.\r\n\r\nThe RES Group, initially part of the Sir Robert McAlpine group, has been actively contributing to the renewable energy sector since its establishment in 1982.\r\n\r\nGlenvernoch Wind Farm<\/a> <\/strong>near Glentrool and Balunton Wind Farm<\/a> near Glentrool, both in Newton Stewart, are projects by Energiekontor, a subsidiary of the German-based Energiekontor AG.\r\n\r\nFounded in 1999, Energiekontor specializes in the development and management of wind farms and solar parks across various European countries.\r\n\r\nEnergiekontor AG, the parent company of Energiekontor UK Ltd, was established in 1990 as an independent entity dedicated to planning and developing wind farms. In 2002, Energiekontor was listed on the Frankfurt securities exchange.\r\n\r\nThe proposed wind farms<\/a> are opposed by Hands Off Our Hills<\/a>, highlighting concerns about the significant scale of these projects.\r\n\r\nBlair Hill Wind Farm<\/a>, planned by RES Group, includes 22 turbines towering at 250 meters each, while a total of 25 turbines, each reaching a height of 200 meters, are
