Artist Impression

Herein is a visual representation illustrating the potential aesthetic impact of four industrial wind turbines, contingent upon securing approval. It is apparent that the approval of such structures would have a detrimental effect on the entirety of the Galloway Hills and our esteemed historical landscapes.

4 Industrial Wind Turbine Sites

A collective sum of 43 industrial wind turbines, each surpassing a height of 200 meters, is proposed. Among these, 13 turbines are specifically planned to reach a height of 250 meters at the Blair Hill Wind Industrial Wind Turbine Site.

About The

Companies Behind

There are 3 companies behind the proposed industrial wind turbines sites in the Galloway Hills. These companies are RES Group, E-Power and EnergieKontor.

RES
About RES Group

Renewable Energy Systems (RES) was started in 1982 as part of the Sir Robert McAlpine group of engineering and construction companies. Renewable Energy Systems is a global renewable energy company which has been active in the renewable energy industry for over 40 years.  Since late 2003 RES has been based at its headquarters building at Beaufort Court.

RES have recently setup a Community Liaison Group in relation to the Blair Hill Industrial Wind Turbines Site.  Hands Off Our Hills maintains NO affiliation or alignment with any of the member groups or participants associated with the Community Liaison Group.

This initiative is perceived by us as a farcical public relations endeavour employed by RES to modify their planning application in response to community concerns and to gather additional information regarding opposition sentiments.

E-Power
About E-Power

E Power is a renewable energy company with a focus on developing, constructing, and operating medium to large-scale wind farms. The company is headquartered in Co. Cork, Ireland, with an additional base in Dunfermline, UK.
