Grupotec and REG Power Management are proposing a massive solar park and battery energy storage facility northwest of Newton Stewart, with a generating capacity exceeding 20 MW. Grupotec and REG Power have announced two consultation events:

• 11th February 2025 (3 PM–7 PM) at McMillan Hall, Dashwood Square, Newton Stewart.
• 11th March 2025 (3 PM–7 PM) at the same location.
